North American MGA Register

NAMGAR was established in 1975, with the sole objective of promoting the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of the MGA, Magnette, and their variants. Over 5000 cars have been registered, with a standing membership of nearly 2000. While NAMGAR was created to specifically serve the North American MGA enthusiast, it now boasts a world wide membership with over 15 countries represented. NAMGAR is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Registrar and Editor. These five people are assisted by many other volunteers in order to produce their magazine and annual events.

MG Owners Club

The MGOC, based in Northern California, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007. Its roots date back to the late 1940s as the M.G. Car Club, San Francisco Centre. That club became the present San Francisco Region of the S.C.C.A. and a separate MG Owners Club was formed. In 1958 the Club became the Northern California Centre of the M.G. Car Club on the recommendation of John Thornley. The club is not related to the MG Owners Club based in England which was founded much later. The local club has over 250 members and is a chapter of NAMGBR, NAMGAR and NEMGTR. The club annually hosts the MGs by the Bay event and other events throughout the year.
